Hapro Electronics
Hapro's production facilities at Jaren needed to optimize energy consumption in operations. Through targeted upgrades, SustEvo, in collaboration with Hapro, has improved and optimized both the cooling and heating systems in the building, which has resulted in significant energy savings.
Implemented measures:
Volume control of both heating and cooling systems.
Integrated utilization of excess heat from cooling units.
Replacement of old cooling machines with new heat pumps.
Removal of electric boilers and district heating, which reduces the need for external energy sources.
Installation of a new borehole-based thermal energy storage system.
Automation of systems for optimal operation.
In this type of manufacturing company, energy use and production are very similar. However, after our measures, Hapro has doubled its production and at the same time achieved an energy reduction of 20%. This means that Hapro has saved a full 70% of its energy use if we take into account increased production. This shows that increased production does not always have to result in increased emissions/energy use.
