ENERGY MAPPING OF CONDOMINIUMS AND HOUSING ASSOCIATIONS.
Get in touch and we'll help you cut energy costs!
We guarantee that the savings and energy production will be as agreed
After the survey has been carried out and the measures documented, we are happy to assist as project managers and representatives in the procurement and implementation phase. We guarantee that the savings and energy production will be as planned. As the only adviser, we guarantee that the result will be as we present. We link our fee in the implementation phase to documented results. This concept has been developed together with Enova SF and is called 3P-Guarantee. If the result is not as agreed, our fee is reduced.

The purpose of energy mapping is to arrive at the most profitable and climate-friendly energy solutions for the housing association. In order to find favorable solutions, several different alternatives are analyzed in relation to investment needs, profitability and energy production. Based on this, we will recommend the solution that best meets your needs.
The work is divided into the following main tasks:
Analysis of the current state of affairs existing energy systems, energy distribution systems and energy costs.
We will survey the current state and collect all relevant information that will be used as a basis in the subsequent phases. As part of this work, we will scan all technical rooms that are essential for choosing a solution. We draw up the system (system diagram) as it is actually carried out today. This will give us an important premise document to optimize system upgrades etc. to minimize project scope and maximum reuse of existing components. The system diagram also provides good documentation of the system for you in the future.
Description of recommended energy-reducing measures and energy production solutions (thermal and electrical energy as well as self-production via solar cells and/or heat pumps etc.).
After we have assessed all relevant solutions, we describe the best choice for the housing association. The description will also contain a system diagram for thermal energy (heating system). The document must be able to be used by the housing association to obtain prices from performing contractors. The results are also presented in a note with tables and diagrams showing expected local energy production, need for purchased energy or kg CO2 saved.
Life cycle analysis and investment analysis.
We will investigate the need for investment to implement the recommended solution. Any available support schemes are presented and included in the calculations. Based on various assumptions, such as increases in energy prices and technical lifetimes, we calculate the life cycle cost (profitability analysis) of the recommended solution. The results are presented both in tables and diagrams. We also present a combined solution to the board and in resident meetings/gatherings where everyone can give input and questions.
Application to Enova for mapping support.
We assist the housing association with the entire application process and all documentation related to application for mapping support. We also assist in preparing a payment request from the housing association to Enova when the mapping has been completed.
ENOVA supports energy mapping.
Housing associations and housing cooperatives can receive support for mapping that provides concrete recommendations on smart climate measures. The level of support depends on the number of housing units, the costs of carrying out the mapping and whether, after the mapping, you sign a contract for the implementation of mapped energy-saving measures. Maximum support is between NOK 350,000 or 50% (mapping support) and NOK 525,000 or 75% (mapping support with bonus). The bonus is triggered after the contract for implementation has been signed and the calculated net energy needs are at least 20% lower or at least 30% lower delivered energy.
Tveita Borettslag halved energy consumption
In 2012, Kjell Hantho led the energy project for Tveita Borettslag. Tveita Borettslag consists of three high-rise blocks of 13 floors and 819 apartments in total.
The project covered facade and heating system upgrades. The environmentally friendly heating system cost 40 MNOK with an annual saving of 8 kWh.
The heating system consisted of three oil boilers which were replaced by two small biofuel boilers and the first large heat pump system in Norway where they use CO2 as the working medium. A CO2 heat pump of 100kW has been installed in each of the 3 blocks. As a heat source, exhaust air from the ventilation is used, which maintains an even temperature throughout the year. The heat pump achieves an annual heating factor of over 4, and energy savings of more than 75 per cent compared to electric boilers. Alongside CO2 heat pumps for heating tap water, 3 air/water heat pumps have been installed to heat the 819 apartments. The radiators were changed to be able to utilize low-temperature heat from the heat pumps.
