Nordea
Nordea Bank's headquarters at Majorstua has undergone extensive energy optimization to reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency. The project was implemented with a 3P Performance Guarantee, with the target being an annual saving of 600,000 kWh. The result significantly exceeded expectations, with actual savings of 2.9 GWh per year, equivalent to 25% of the building's total energy consumption.
The measures included smarter control of heating and cooling systems, replacement of old pumps and better utilization of excess heat. A simple measure, such as closing a valve between the return and return on the main line, saved 1.15 GWh alone. With an investment cost of 4.2 MNOK after Enova support and an annual saving of 5.8 MNOK, the project was paid off in less than a year. Through the project, Nordea has experienced the densification potential of good sustainable choices. They have already installed solar cells and beehives on the roof. Furthermore, they carry out continuous updates of their technical facilities to ensure that no energy is wasted.
