New regulation on energy mapping in Norwegian companies
The energy mapping regulation, which came into force on October 1, 2024, stipulates that all companies that conduct economic activity and have an annual average energy consumption in Norway of at least 2.5 GWh over the past three years must carry out energy mapping. The purpose is to promote energy efficiency and identify specific measures to reduce energy consumption in buildings, processes and transportation.
Enterprises must report the survey to Enova and prepare an implementation plan within one year, focusing on financially and technically feasible measures. Non-compliance can lead to an infringement fee.
